The Phoenix Suns saw their struggles deepen after a narrow 108–105 defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks, extending their losing streak in a game that slipped away late.
Despite a strong opening, Phoenix couldn’t maintain control when it mattered most. The Suns came out with energy, building an early lead and dictating the tempo in the first quarter. But as the game progressed, Milwaukee settled in and gradually turned the contest into a back-and-forth battle.
At the center of the Bucks’ victory was Ryan Rollins, who delivered a standout all-around performance. He led his team with 26 points while also contributing on the boards and as a playmaker, proving decisive in the closing moments.
The game remained tight entering the fourth quarter, with neither side able to create separation. Phoenix briefly regained momentum behind key plays from Devin Booker, but consistency proved elusive. Booker, typically a reliable scorer, struggled to find his rhythm, which limited the Suns’ offensive flow during crucial stretches.
Meanwhile, Jalen Green stepped up as Phoenix’s leading scorer, helping keep the team within reach. Still, the Suns couldn’t capitalize on key opportunities down the stretch, as missed chances and defensive lapses allowed Milwaukee to stay in control.
In the final minute, the Bucks executed with composure. Rollins delivered a clutch basket to push his team ahead, then sealed the result from the free-throw line, effectively shutting the door on any comeback attempt.
Both teams were dealing with absences, but Milwaukee managed to adapt more effectively. Contributions from across the roster helped offset missing star power, while Phoenix’s depth was tested and ultimately exposed.
For the Suns, the loss raises concerns as the season progresses. A team with playoff ambitions now finds itself searching for answers, particularly in late-game execution and overall consistency.
As the pressure builds, Phoenix will need to regroup quickly. Close games like this can define a season and right now, they are slipping out of reach.
