The newly released trailer for Street Fighter has finally given fans their first detailed look at the film’s massive ensemble cast, bringing Capcom’s iconic fighting game universe to life on the big screen in a bold new way.

The reboot, set in 1993, centers on legendary rivals Ryu and Ken, who are drawn back into battle when Chun-Li recruits them for the brutal World Warrior Tournament. As the fights unfold, a deeper conspiracy begins to surface, forcing the warriors to confront not only their opponents but also their own pasts.

One of the biggest talking points from the trailer is its star-packed roster, featuring a mix of Hollywood actors, wrestling stars, musicians, and international talent portraying beloved characters from the franchise.

Noah Centineo takes on the role of Ken Masters, while Andrew Koji plays the disciplined martial artist Ryu. Callina Liang steps in as Chun-Li, who acts as a key catalyst in the unfolding tournament. Jason Momoa appears as the towering Blanka, while David Dastmalchian plays the franchise’s main antagonist, M. Bison.

The villainous lineup also includes Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and Orville Peck as Vega. Other notable casting choices include Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, and Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki.

The trailer highlights intense fight sequences, nostalgic nods to the original arcade games, and stylized versions of each character’s signature moves, aiming to balance fan service with a modern cinematic upgrade. Set against a 1990s backdrop, the film leans heavily into the classic tournament structure that made the video game franchise a global phenomenon.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter is being positioned as a fresh reboot of the franchise, separate from earlier adaptations. The film is scheduled for release in October 2026 and is already generating major online buzz thanks to its ambitious cast and faithful yet cinematic reimagining of the source material.
